A Gleap custom agent can query Amplitude through Composio: user activity, event segmentation, funnels and retention. It helps product and support teams check what a customer actually did before they answer or prioritize a report.
What a Gleap agent can do in Amplitude
- See what the customer did: Search Amplitude User finds the Amplitude ID for the reporting user, and Get User Activity from Amplitude returns their event stream.
- Size a problem: Get Event Segmentation Data shows how often an error or feature event happened over time, which helps the team judge how many customers a bug affects.
- Find the drop-off: Get Funnel Analysis Data shows where users leave a flow that customers complain about.
- Mark a release: Create Amplitude Release records a shipped fix once your team confirms it is live, so charts show when behavior should change.
Example: Sizing a mobile checkout bug
Several customers report in Gleap that they cannot finish checkout on mobile. A product manager asks the agent how big the problem is. The agent finds the reporting users in Amplitude, reads their event streams and runs a segmentation of the checkout error event for the last 14 days. The product manager uses the numbers to set the priority, and engineering takes it from there.
How to connect Amplitude
- In Gleap, open AI & Automation > Agents and select a custom agent, or create one.
- In its Tools section, click Add tool and search for “Amplitude”.
- Pick Amplitude under More integrations and click Connect Amplitude.
- Enter the Amplitude credentials Gleap asks for, such as your project’s API key and secret key, and connect.
- Open the new Amplitude tool and switch off every action the agent does not need, such as Delete Amplitude Users or Send Events to Amplitude.
- Tell the agent in its instructions when to use Amplitude, then test it in chat.
Custom agents are included in the Team, Pro and Enterprise plans. Kai Support can use connected apps as tools on Team, Pro and Enterprise. Kai Code, also on those plans, can use Amplitude in coding sessions once you add it under Settings > MCP in Kai Code.
FAQ
Does Gleap integrate with Amplitude?
Yes, through Composio. A Gleap custom agent can search users, read event streams, run segmentation, funnel and retention queries and manage releases and annotations. Data is read or written only when an agent run calls these actions.
What can a Gleap AI agent do in Amplitude?
It brings usage facts into support and product work: what a customer did before a report, how many users an issue touches and when a fix shipped. Your team reads the findings in the ticket and decides what happens next.
Which Gleap plan includes the Amplitude integration?
Kai Support and Kai Code can use the Amplitude toolkit on Team, Pro and Enterprise; custom agents that use it are on Team, Pro and Enterprise. Kai Support answers customers, so switch on only actions that are safe in a customer conversation. Connect the Amplitude project whose data the agent should query. AI usage is billed separately; see pricing.
Does Gleap send events to Amplitude automatically?
No. Gleap does not stream events into Amplitude through this connection. The toolkit includes Send Events to Amplitude, so an agent could send an event when its instructions say so. Keep it off if you only need to read data.
