Bring a customer issue into the Linear team that can act on it. Gleap creates issues from your reports, keeping the original problem and its captured context connected to the engineering handoff. The Linear integration is available on the Team, Pro and Enterprise plans.
Choose the team that owns the work
The connection requires a Linear team and lets you choose a project when the work belongs in one. You can connect different destinations separately, giving each connection a name that makes its purpose clear.
Use automatic forwarding for selected ticket types, or send individual reports after triage. The integration supports issue creation, updates, and messages, so additional details can follow an existing issue. Linear comments arrive on the Gleap ticket as internal notes, and status changes appear in its history.
Connect Gleap to Linear
- Add Linear from your project’s Integrations settings and authorize your workspace.
- Select the Linear team and, if useful, a project.
- Choose the ticket types to forward and save the connection.
- Send a sample ticket and check its destination and contents in Linear.
The setup guide explains automatic and manual handoffs.
Give engineers a better starting point
Use in-app bug reporting to collect the customer’s experience. For issues that need investigation first, Kai Support helps your team understand the problem before adding work to the backlog.
FAQ
Which Gleap plan includes the Linear integration?
Team, Pro and Enterprise. Starter includes no integrations. See pricing for the plans.
Do Linear changes sync back to Gleap?
Yes. Status changes on the Linear issue appear in the Gleap ticket’s history, and Linear comments arrive on the ticket as internal notes.
Can Gleap’s AI agents use Linear through MCP?
Yes, as an agent tool that is separate from this integration. Kai Support and Kai Code can use Linear on Team, Pro and Enterprise, and custom agents can use it on Team, Pro and Enterprise. Gleap connects the tool through Composio’s MCP server for Linear, and the agent calls only the actions you switch on. Other remote MCP servers can be added by URL as a Custom MCP tool.
