Gleap AI agents can work in Close through Composio, for sales teams that run their pipeline in Close while support, bug reports and feature requests come in through Gleap. A custom agent can show a rep’s opportunity and recent activity next to a Gleap ticket and create a task when the rep should step in.
What a Gleap agent can do in Close
- The opportunity behind a ticket: List Opportunities and Get Opportunity show whether the company behind a Gleap ticket has an open deal, with its status and value.
- What sales already discussed: List Activities and Get Notes read recent calls, emails and notes on the lead, so the support teammate knows the context.
- Tasks for the rep: Create Task asks the rep who owns the lead to follow up, for example when a prospect in evaluation reports a bug.
- New leads from product feedback: Create Lead adds a company to Close when a Gleap feature request comes from an organization your sales team does not know yet.
Example: a prospect’s bug during evaluation
A prospect in an active evaluation reports through the Gleap widget that single sign-on fails for their test users. A teammate asks the agent on the ticket to check Close. The agent finds the lead and its open opportunity, reads the last call notes and creates a task for the rep with the ticket summary. Support works on the bug with engineering, and the rep decides whether to call the prospect before the fix is live.
How to connect Close
- In Gleap, open AI & Automation, then Agents, and select the custom agent that should use Close, or click Create agent.
- Under Tools, click Add tool, search for “Close” and select the Close CRM toolkit.
- Enter your Close API key and any other details the form asks for, then click Connect Close.
- Open the Close tool and switch off every action the agent should not use, such as Create Email, Create SMS Message or Delete Call.
- Publish the agent and test it in chat before you turn on a trigger.
Custom agents are on the Team, Pro and Enterprise plans. Kai Support can use connected apps as tools on Team, Pro and Enterprise.
FAQ
Does Gleap integrate with Close?
Yes. Gleap AI agents use Close through Composio’s Close toolkit, authenticated with a Close API key. The agent reads and writes Close data when it runs; leads and Gleap contacts are not kept in sync automatically.
What can a Gleap AI agent do in Close?
It can read contacts, notes, activities and opportunities, list custom activity and object types, create leads, tasks and calls, create email and SMS activities, and delete calls. Leave the email, SMS and delete actions off unless the agent should log or send communication in Close.
Which Gleap plan includes the Close integration?
Custom agents that use Close are included in the Team, Pro and Enterprise plans, and Kai Support can use connected apps as tools in its customer conversations on Team, Pro and Enterprise. The Close user who owns the API key determines which leads the agent sees. AI usage is billed separately; see pricing.
Can the agent update opportunities in Close?
Not with the current toolkit. It reads opportunities but has no action that changes their status or value, so pipeline changes stay with your reps. The agent informs them through tasks and the summary it writes on the Gleap ticket.
