Gleap AI agents can use Cloudflare through Composio, for teams whose app runs behind Cloudflare and whose customers report access problems through Gleap. A custom agent can read DNS records, firewall rules, Bot Management settings and load balancer health, so support gets a first answer to “why am I blocked” without waiting for an engineer.
What a Gleap agent can do in Cloudflare
- Blocked or challenged customers: List Firewall Rules and Get Bot Management Settings show which rules or bot protection might block the customer described in a Gleap ticket.
- Domains that stopped resolving: List DNS records shows the records of a zone, for example when customers report that a subdomain of your app no longer loads.
- Unhealthy origins: List Monitors and List Pools show your load balancer health checks and pools, which helps when customers in one region report timeouts.
- Tunnels behind internal tools: List Tunnels shows the status of Cloudflare Tunnels in front of the tools your team uses.
Example: customers stuck on a challenge page
Several customers report through the Gleap widget that they see a security challenge page and cannot log in. A teammate asks the agent on one of the tickets to check Cloudflare. The agent lists the zone’s firewall rules and Bot Management settings and finds a rule that challenges logins from the network the customers are on. It posts the rule and the affected tickets for the teammate, and an engineer decides whether to change the rule.
How to connect Cloudflare
- In Gleap, open AI & Automation, then Agents, and select the custom agent that should use Cloudflare, or click Create agent.
- Under Tools, click Add tool, search for “Cloudflare” and select it.
- Enter a Cloudflare API token and any other details the form asks for, then click Connect Cloudflare.
- Open the Cloudflare tool and switch off every action the agent should not use, such as creating, updating or deleting DNS records and zones, WAF list changes and tunnel configuration.
- Publish the agent and test it in chat before you turn on a trigger.
Custom agents are on the Team, Pro and Enterprise plans. Kai Support can use connected apps as tools on Team, Pro and Enterprise.
FAQ
Does Gleap integrate with Cloudflare?
Yes. Gleap AI agents use Cloudflare through Composio’s Cloudflare toolkit, authenticated with a Cloudflare API token. The agent reads or changes your Cloudflare configuration only while it runs; Gleap does not monitor Cloudflare on its own.
What can a Gleap AI agent do in Cloudflare?
It can list accounts, members, zones, DNS records, firewall rules, WAF lists, load balancer monitors and pools and tunnels, read bot management settings, and create, update or delete DNS records, zones, WAF lists and tunnel configuration. Changes to DNS and zones take effect immediately, so keep the agent read-only.
Which Gleap plan includes the Cloudflare integration?
Custom agents that use Cloudflare are part of the Team, Pro and Enterprise plans, and Kai Support can use connected apps as tools in its customer conversations on Team, Pro and Enterprise. Create an API token with read permissions only for the zones the agent needs. AI usage is billed separately; see pricing.
Should a customer-facing agent see our firewall rules?
No. Give Cloudflare only to an internal agent that reports to your team, and keep it away from Kai Support and other agents that answer customers. Security details belong in the teammate’s summary, not in a customer reply.
