Gleap AI agents can use Contentful through Composio, for teams whose website or app content lives in Contentful and whose users report wrong or broken content through Gleap. A custom agent can find the entry behind a report, see what changed and hand it to an editor, and Kai Code can read your content model when a fix touches rendering code.
What a Gleap agent can do in Contentful
- The entry behind a report: List Entries and Get Entry find the content a customer reported as wrong, such as an outdated price or a broken link.
- What changed and when: Get Entry Snapshots shows the entry’s earlier versions, so the teammate can see which edit introduced the problem.
- A note for the editors: Create Entry Comment or Create Entry Task leaves a comment or task on the entry with the details from the Gleap report.
- The content model for a fix: with Contentful in Kai Code’s MCP settings, Kai Code can read content types when a bug sits in the code that renders them.
Example: an outdated price on the pricing page
A visitor reports through the Gleap widget on your website that the pricing page shows last year’s price for the team plan. A teammate asks the agent on the ticket to check Contentful. The agent finds the pricing entry, sees that its latest changes were saved but never published, and creates a task on the entry for the content editor. The editor reviews the entry and publishes it.
How to connect Contentful
- In Gleap, open AI & Automation, then Agents, and select the custom agent that should use Contentful, or click Create agent.
- Under Tools, click Add tool, search for “Contentful” and select it.
- Click Connect Contentful and follow the authorization Gleap shows: approve access in the Contentful sign-in window, or enter a Contentful management token if the form asks for one.
- Open the Contentful tool and switch off every action the agent should not use, such as Publish Entry, Update Entry, the delete and archive actions and content type changes.
- Publish the agent and test it in chat. For Kai Code, add Contentful under Settings, MCP instead.
Kai Code is on Team, Pro and Enterprise, and Kai Support can use connected apps as tools on the same plans. Custom agents are on the Team, Pro and Enterprise plans.
FAQ
Does Gleap integrate with Contentful?
Yes. Custom agents and Kai Code use Contentful through Composio’s Contentful toolkit, which supports OAuth and management tokens. They read or change content only while they run; Gleap does not sync Contentful entries.
What can a Gleap AI agent do in Contentful?
It can list and read entries, assets, content types, locales, snapshots, references and comments, create entries, assets, comments and tasks, and update, publish, archive or delete them. Publishing changes your live content, so keep it with an editor.
Which Gleap plan includes the Contentful integration?
Kai Code can use Contentful on Team, Pro and Enterprise, and Kai Support can use connected apps as tools in its customer conversations on the same plans. Custom agents that use Contentful are part of the Team, Pro and Enterprise plans. The token’s space and environment access decides what the agents can reach. AI usage is billed separately; see pricing.
Can the agent fix the content itself?
It can prepare a draft change with Update Entry if you leave that action on, but a person should review and publish it. For most reports, a task with the exact entry and the problem is the faster handoff.
