Gleap AI agents can use Doppler through Composio, for engineering teams that manage environment configuration in Doppler and receive bug reports from customers in Gleap. With the secret-reading actions switched off, Kai Code, Kai Support and custom agents can see which settings exist and which configs changed, without seeing a single secret value.
What a Gleap agent can do in Doppler
- Which config changed: List Config Logs and Get Config Log show recent changes to a config, so a setting change right before customers reported a problem stands out.
- Does a setting exist: List Secret Names returns the names in a config without values, so Kai Code can check that a variable its fix needs exists in staging and production.
- Who changed what: List Activity Logs shows recent activity in your Doppler workplace for the engineer investigating.
- Which environments exist: List Environments and List Doppler Configs show the environments and configs a project uses.
Example: notifications stopped after a config change
Customers report through the Gleap widget that email notifications stopped arriving last evening. Kai Support investigates the ticket with Doppler enabled in Kai Code’s MCP settings, reads the production config log and finds that the mail host setting changed at 6 pm. It reports the change and the time in its findings instead of preparing a code change. The engineer decides whether to restore the old value in Doppler.
How to connect Doppler
- In Gleap, open Kai Code, click Settings and open MCP.
- Click Add MCP server, search for “Doppler” and select it.
- Enter a Doppler token and any other details the form asks for, then click Connect Doppler.
- Open the Doppler server and switch off Get Secret, List Doppler Secrets, Download Secrets, both share-link actions, Rollback Config Log and every update or delete action.
- For a custom agent, add Doppler under the agent’s Tools with Add tool instead, then publish and test it.
Kai Code is on Team, Pro and Enterprise, and Kai Support can use connected apps as tools on the same plans. Custom agents are on the Team, Pro and Enterprise plans.
FAQ
Does Gleap integrate with Doppler?
Yes. Kai Code, Kai Support and custom agents use Doppler through Composio’s Doppler toolkit, authenticated with a Doppler token. They read Doppler only while they run; Gleap does not store your configuration.
What can a Gleap AI agent do in Doppler?
The toolkit covers projects, environments, configs, config logs, activity logs, secret names and values, service tokens, webhooks and workplace users, including changes and rollbacks. Only the log, name and listing actions belong in an agent; everything that reads or changes secret values should stay off.
Which Gleap plan includes the Doppler integration?
Kai Code and Kai Support’s investigations can use Doppler on Team, Pro and Enterprise; custom agents that use it are part of the Team, Pro and Enterprise plans. Use a token limited to the projects the agents need, and never give Doppler to Kai Support or other agents that talk to customers. AI usage is billed separately; see pricing.
Can the agents ever see a secret value?
Only if the actions that return values stay switched on, because every toolkit action is available until you turn it off. Switch off Get Secret, List Doppler Secrets and Download Secrets before the first run, and check the tool list again when Composio adds actions.
