Through Composio, a Gleap custom agent can create and read Toggl time entries, clients and projects. It is aimed at agencies and service teams that bill support or implementation time and handle those requests in Gleap.
What a Gleap agent can do in Toggl
- Log time for a ticket: Create Time Entry records the time a teammate reports, with the ticket title as the description.
- Match the client: List Clients and Get Projects let the agent choose the project that belongs to the customer’s company.
- Total the hours: Get Time Entries returns the connected account’s entries for a date range, so the agent can add up the time for one client.
- Label the work: Create Tag and Bulk Edit Time Entries mark entries as support, onboarding or bug work.
Example: Billable support for an agency
An agency supports twelve client apps from one Gleap project. After fixing a checkout issue, the developer tells the agent in the ticket that it took 90 minutes. The agent finds the client’s Toggl project, creates the time entry with the ticket title and tags it as bug work. At month end, the account manager asks the agent for the hours per client and reviews them before invoicing.
How to connect Toggl
- In Gleap, open AI & Automation > Agents and select a custom agent, or create one.
- In its Tools section, click Add tool and search for “Toggl”.
- Pick Toggl under More integrations and click Connect Toggl.
- Paste your Toggl API token into the form Gleap shows and connect.
- Open the new Toggl tool and switch off every action the agent does not need, such as Delete Toggl Client or Send Email to Contact.
- Tell the agent in its instructions when to use Toggl, then test it in chat.
Custom agents are included in the Team, Pro and Enterprise plans. Kai Support can use connected apps as tools on Team, Pro and Enterprise. Kai Code, also on those plans, can use Toggl in coding sessions once you add it under Settings > MCP in Kai Code.
FAQ
Does Gleap integrate with Toggl?
Yes, through Composio. A Gleap custom agent can create and stop time entries, read entries, projects and clients and manage tags. Time is recorded only when an agent run calls those actions.
What can a Gleap AI agent do in Toggl?
It logs time that a teammate reports on a ticket, files it under the right client and project and totals hours for billing questions. It works with the workspace of the connected Toggl account.
Which Gleap plan includes the Toggl integration?
Kai Support and Kai Code can use the Toggl toolkit on Team, Pro and Enterprise; custom agents that use it are on Team, Pro and Enterprise. Kai Support answers customers, so switch on only actions that are safe in a customer conversation. The connection uses one Toggl API token, so entries are created as that Toggl user. AI usage is billed separately; see pricing.
Does the agent track time automatically?
No. It logs the time a teammate tells it or that your instructions define. Composio’s Toggl toolkit has no triggers, and nothing is recorded in the background.
