Gleap AI agents can work in BugHerd through Composio, for agencies and web teams that collect client feedback on websites in BugHerd and support product users in Gleap. A custom agent can check whether a report already exists as a BugHerd task, add details from Gleap to it and create new tasks for your web team.
What a Gleap agent can do in BugHerd
- Duplicates across tools: List Project Tasks filters a project’s tasks by column, tag or priority, so the agent can tell whether a Gleap report is already a BugHerd task.
- Evidence on the task: Create Comment adds the browser, page and steps from a Gleap bug report to the matching BugHerd task.
- Tasks for the web team: Create Task opens a task in the client’s BugHerd project when a Gleap report concerns a site your team maintains there.
- Where the work stands: Show User Tasks and List Columns show who has the task and which column it sits in, for the teammate answering the customer.
Example: a client site bug reported twice
A client’s staff member reports through the Gleap widget in your client portal that the booking form on the client’s website rejects valid phone numbers. A teammate asks the agent on the Gleap ticket to check BugHerd. The agent finds an open BugHerd task from the client about the same form, adds a comment with the browser and example numbers from the Gleap report, and posts the task link on the ticket. The project manager decides when the fix is scheduled.
How to connect BugHerd
- In Gleap, open AI & Automation, then Agents, and select the custom agent that should use BugHerd, or click Create agent.
- Under Tools, click Add tool, search for “BugHerd” and select it.
- Enter your BugHerd API key and any other details the form asks for, then click Connect Bugherd.
- Open the BugHerd tool and switch off every action the agent should not use, such as Delete Project, Update Project and the member and guest actions.
- Publish the agent and test it in chat before you turn on a trigger.
Custom agents are on the Team, Pro and Enterprise plans. Kai Support can use connected apps as tools on Team, Pro and Enterprise.
FAQ
Does Gleap integrate with BugHerd?
Yes. Gleap AI agents use BugHerd through Composio’s BugHerd toolkit, authenticated with a BugHerd API key. The agent reads and writes BugHerd tasks while it runs; tasks and Gleap tickets are not synced automatically.
What can a Gleap AI agent do in BugHerd?
It can list projects, tasks, columns, users and attachments, create and update tasks, comments, columns and attachments, add members and guests, manage webhooks and delete projects. Guests are your clients, so leave the guest and member actions off.
Which Gleap plan includes the BugHerd integration?
Custom agents that use BugHerd are part of the Team, Pro and Enterprise plans, and Kai Support can use connected apps as tools in its customer conversations on Team, Pro and Enterprise. The BugHerd user behind the API key decides which projects the agent can see. AI usage is billed separately; see pricing.
Should we use BugHerd or Gleap for website feedback?
Both collect visual feedback on web pages; Gleap also connects support, feature requests and coding agents to the same reports. You can run them side by side with this toolkit, or compare them in the Gleap and BugHerd comparison.
