Gleap AI agents can use BugSnag through Composio, for mobile and web teams that monitor stability in BugSnag and collect bug reports from users in Gleap. Kai Code, Kai Support and custom agents can look up the error and events behind a customer’s report and see which release introduced it.
What a Gleap agent can do in BugSnag
- The crash behind a report: List Errors on Project and List Events for Error find the error group and events that match a Gleap bug report’s device, OS and time.
- Which release: List Releases and Get Pivot Values on a Project show which app version or release stage the errors come from.
- Is it growing: List Trends for Project Buckets shows how often the error occurred over time, so the teammate can judge the urgency.
- Feature flags in play: List Project Feature Flags shows the flags active for the affected release, which helps when only some users see the problem.
- Events while fixing: with BugSnag in Kai Code’s MCP settings, Kai Code can read the error’s events and stack trace while it prepares a pull request for your engineers.
Example: a crash on one Android version
Several users report through the Gleap SDK that your Android app closes when they open settings. Kai Support investigates the ticket, finds a matching BugSnag error that only appears on Android 15 in the latest release, traces the code path and prepares a coding task. Kai Code starts it on its own when you allow it, or a teammate does, and reads the BugSnag events while it prepares the pull request. Your engineers review, merge and ship the update.
How to connect BugSnag
- In Gleap, open Kai Code, click Settings and open MCP.
- Click Add MCP server, search for “Bugsnag” and select it.
- Enter a BugSnag personal auth token and any other details the form asks for, then click Connect Bugsnag.
- Open the BugSnag server and switch off the tools Kai Code should not call, such as Bulk Update Errors, Delete All Errors in a Project, Regenerate Project API Key and the data deletion requests.
- For a custom agent, add BugSnag under the agent’s Tools with Add tool instead, then publish and test it.
Kai Code is on Team, Pro and Enterprise, and Kai Support can use connected apps as tools on the same plans. Custom agents are on the Team, Pro and Enterprise plans.
FAQ
Does Gleap integrate with BugSnag?
Yes. Kai Code, Kai Support and custom agents use BugSnag through Composio’s BugSnag toolkit, authenticated with a BugSnag token. They read or change BugSnag data only while they run; Gleap does not import BugSnag errors.
What can a Gleap AI agent do in BugSnag?
It can list projects, errors, events, releases, trends, pivots, feature flags and saved searches, bulk update errors, and manage collaborators, teams, integrations and data requests. Reading errors and events is what investigations need; keep the account and deletion tools off.
Which Gleap plan includes the BugSnag integration?
Kai Code and Kai Support’s investigations can use BugSnag on Team, Pro and Enterprise, and Kai Support can use connected apps as tools in its customer conversations on the same plans. Custom agents that use BugSnag are part of the Team, Pro and Enterprise plans. The token’s user decides which projects the agents can read. AI usage is billed separately; see pricing.
How is Gleap different from BugSnag?
BugSnag records crashes and errors in your code; Gleap collects what users report, with their steps and screenshots, and connects support, feedback and coding agents. You can keep both. Read the Gleap and BugSnag comparison for details.
