Prepare a follow-up with the original conversation in view. Gmail tools through Composio let a Gleap Custom Agent find messages, retrieve an accessible email thread, and create a draft in the connected mailbox.
Start from the conversation
Define which customer, subject, or other search criteria identify the emails your workflow needs. The message lookup can provide the thread ID used to retrieve the related conversation.
For example, an onboarding agent could gather the earlier implementation discussion and prepare a draft covering the customer’s open questions. That gives your teammate a useful starting point grounded in the correspondence.
Choose what happens to the draft
Draft creation and sending are separate actions. You can build a workflow that stops at a draft and keep sending actions disabled. If you choose a workflow that sends email, define its recipients and sending rules explicitly.
Connect Gmail in the custom agent’s tool settings and authorize the intended account. Inspect its available actions, then test with a known thread. Keep the original thread reference when the draft should continue an existing conversation.
See the Gmail toolkit reference for draft and thread inputs. This is an agent tool connection. To handle customer email alongside your other support channels, explore Gleap’s multichannel inbox. Use Custom Agents for the specific preparation or follow-up work you want to build.
