Gleap AI agents can work with Gong through Composio, for teams that record sales and customer calls in Gong and collect feature requests and bug reports in Gleap. A custom agent can read call details and transcripts and turn what customers said on calls into votes and context your product team sees in Gleap.
What a Gleap agent can do in Gong
- Feature asks from calls: Retrieve call data by date range and Get Call Transcript let a scheduled agent find the features customers asked for on recent calls.
- Votes on the right request: with the Gleap tool as well, the agent searches Gleap feature requests for a match and adds the customer as an upvoter instead of creating duplicates.
- What the account manager heard: Retrieve filtered call details finds recent calls with the company behind a Gleap ticket, so support knows what was already discussed.
- Bugs mentioned on calls: transcripts can contain problems customers never reported in the widget, and the agent can list them for a teammate to check against Gleap bug reports.
Example: a Monday feedback sweep
Every Monday, the agent runs on a schedule, reads the transcripts of last week’s customer calls in Gong and finds four customers asking for audit logs. It adds them as upvoters to the existing Gleap feature request and opens a task for the product lead, through Request human input, with the call titles and quotes. The product lead reviews the request and decides where it goes on the roadmap.
How to connect Gong
- In Gleap, open AI & Automation, then Agents, and select the custom agent that should use Gong, or click Create agent.
- Under Tools, click Add tool, search for “Gong” and select it.
- Click Connect Gong and follow the authorization Gleap shows: approve access in the Gong sign-in window, or enter Gong API credentials if the form asks for them.
- Open the Gong tool and switch off every action the agent should not use, especially Erase data for email address, Erase data for phone number and the flow actions.
- Add the Gleap tool to the same agent, publish it and test it in chat before you turn on the schedule.
Custom agents are on the Team, Pro and Enterprise plans. Kai Support can use connected apps as tools on Team, Pro and Enterprise.
FAQ
Does Gleap integrate with Gong?
Yes. Gleap AI agents use Gong through Composio’s Gong toolkit, which supports OAuth and basic authentication. The agent reads Gong data when it runs; calls and transcripts are not imported into Gleap in the background.
What can a Gleap AI agent do in Gong?
It can list and filter calls, read transcripts, scorecards, trackers, users and CRM objects, and manage meetings, Engage flows, permission profiles and data privacy requests. For feedback work, reading calls and transcripts is enough.
Which Gleap plan includes the Gong integration?
Custom agents that read Gong are part of the Team, Pro and Enterprise plans, and Kai Support can use connected apps as tools in its customer conversations on Team, Pro and Enterprise. Gong’s own call access settings still decide which calls the connection can read. AI usage is billed separately, and long transcripts use more of them; see pricing.
Can the agent create feature requests from calls on its own?
It can, if you give it the Gleap tool and instructions to do so, but a safer setup is to add votes to existing requests and ask a teammate before creating new ones. Priorities and roadmap decisions stay with your product team.
