Gleap AI agents can work in Missive through Composio, for teams that share email, SMS and chat in Missive while in-app support, bug reports and feature requests run in Gleap. A custom agent can read a Missive conversation, post an internal comment with what Gleap knows and save a draft reply, so the person in Missive has the full picture.
What a Gleap agent can do in Missive
- The conversation behind a report: List Missive Conversations and List Conversation Messages show what a customer already wrote to your shared inbox.
- Team comments with Gleap context: Create Missive Post adds a comment to the conversation, for example the steps and device details from the customer’s Gleap bug report.
- Drafts, not sends: Create Draft saves a reply draft in the conversation for a teammate to review and send from Missive.
- Tasks for follow-up: Create Missive Task adds a task linked to the conversation, such as checking back once a fix is confirmed live.
Example: two channels, one customer
A customer emails your shared support address in Missive about missing notifications and also sends a report through the Gleap widget in your app. A teammate asks the agent on the Gleap ticket to connect the two. The agent finds the Missive conversation, posts a comment with the details from the Gleap report and saves a short draft reply. The teammate edits the draft and sends it from Missive.
How to connect Missive
- In Gleap, open AI & Automation, then Agents, and select the custom agent that should use Missive, or click Create agent.
- Under Tools, click Add tool, search for “Missive” and select it.
- Enter your Missive API token and any other details the form asks for, then click Connect Missive.
- Open the Missive tool and switch off every action the agent should not use, such as Merge Missive Conversations, the delete actions and team or webhook changes.
- Publish the agent and test it in chat before you turn on a trigger.
Custom agents are on the Team, Pro and Enterprise plans. Kai Support can use connected apps as tools on Team, Pro and Enterprise.
FAQ
Does Gleap integrate with Missive?
Yes. Gleap AI agents use Missive through Composio’s Missive toolkit, authenticated with a Missive API token. The agent reads and writes Missive data when it runs; conversations are not synchronized with Gleap.
What can a Gleap AI agent do in Missive?
It can list and read conversations, messages, comments, drafts, contacts, tasks, labels and saved responses, create posts, drafts, tasks, contacts and labels, merge conversations and run analytics reports. Posts can also close or assign conversations, so describe in the agent’s instructions what its posts may do.
Which Gleap plan includes the Missive integration?
Custom agents that use Missive come with the Team, Pro and Enterprise plans, and Kai Support can use connected apps as tools in its customer conversations on Team, Pro and Enterprise. The Missive user who created the API token decides which conversations the agent can see. AI usage is billed separately; see pricing.
Does the agent send messages from Missive?
The toolkit has no separate send action; Create Draft saves drafts for later editing or scheduling. State in the agent’s instructions that drafts stay unsent, and check its first drafts in Missive. In Gleap, the agent reaches customers only through its Reply to customer tool.
