Bring the useful part of a Slack discussion into customer work. With Slack connected through Composio, a Gleap Custom Agent can search messages, read a thread, and post an update through the actions you enable.
Follow the discussion, not just the first message
Slack search can focus on a channel, author, or date range. The thread-reading action uses the parent message and channel to retrieve its replies.
For example, an agent preparing a support escalation could find the relevant engineering discussion and summarize the decisions already made. Reading the replies matters: the channel’s main message history does not contain the whole thread.
Put the update in the right place
Add Slack in your custom agent’s tool settings and authorize the intended workspace. Open the connection to inspect and enable the actions available to it.
Define the channels the agent should search and where it should post. A posting action still needs access to its destination; connecting an account does not grant access to an unrelated private channel. Test a known thread and destination while setting up the workflow.
The Slack toolkit reference documents search, threads, and posting. For Gleap notifications or a Slack support channel connected to your inbox, use the native Slack integration. Custom Agents are useful when you want to add a specific research or coordination step around those conversations.
