A Gleap custom agent can read DocuSign envelopes, recipients and audit events and work with templates through Composio. It helps sales, legal and customer success teams that send contracts with DocuSign and get questions about them in Gleap.
What a Gleap agent can do in DocuSign
- Check the status: Get Envelope returns an envelope’s status and basic details from its envelope ID.
- See who did what: Retrieve Envelope Audit Events lists when the envelope was sent, viewed and signed, and by whom.
- Look at attachments: List Envelope Attachments By Envelope Id shows what was attached to the envelope.
- Prepare from a template: Create Envelope From Template sets up a contract from an approved template when your team allows it.
Example: “Did you get our signed order form?”
A customer’s finance lead writes in Gleap that they signed the order form yesterday and asks what happens next. The account manager asks the agent to check, using the envelope ID from the DocuSign email. The agent reads the envelope and its audit events and sees that one of two signers still has to sign. The account manager tells the customer who is missing and resends the reminder from DocuSign.
How to connect DocuSign
- In Gleap, open AI & Automation > Agents and select a custom agent, or create one.
- In its Tools section, click Add tool and search for “DocuSign”.
- Pick DocuSign under More integrations and click Connect DocuSign.
- Create a DocuSign integration key as described in Composio’s setup guide, paste its client ID and client secret into Gleap and add the redirect URI Gleap shows. Then sign in to DocuSign in the popup.
- Open the new DocuSign tool and switch off every action the agent does not need, such as Purchase additional envelopes or Apply action to bulk send envelopes.
- Tell the agent in its instructions when to use DocuSign, then test it in chat.
Custom agents are included in the Team, Pro and Enterprise plans. Kai Support can use connected apps as tools on Team, Pro and Enterprise. Kai Code, also on those plans, can use DocuSign in coding sessions once you add it under Settings > MCP in Kai Code.
FAQ
Does Gleap integrate with DocuSign?
Yes, through Composio. A Gleap custom agent can read envelopes, recipients, documents, audit events and templates and create or change envelopes if you allow it. DocuSign is used only during an agent run.
What can a Gleap AI agent do in DocuSign?
It answers contract status questions with the envelope’s real state and history, so customers get a precise answer. Sending, correcting and voiding contracts stay with your team.
Which Gleap plan includes the DocuSign integration?
Kai Support and Kai Code can use the DocuSign toolkit on Team, Pro and Enterprise; custom agents that use it are on Team, Pro and Enterprise. Kai Support answers customers, so switch on only actions that are safe in a customer conversation. For this toolkit, Composio uses your own DocuSign integration key, which an administrator creates once. AI usage is billed separately; see pricing.
Why is the DocuSign toolkit so large?
It exposes most of the DocuSign eSignature API, including account administration and billing actions. Switch on only the few read actions support needs and add more only for a specific, reviewed job.
