Gleap AI agents can work in Webex through Composio, for companies whose internal teams collaborate in Webex rooms while customer support, bug reports and feedback run in Gleap. A custom agent can post updates about Gleap tickets to the right Webex room, read what the team discussed there and open a room when an issue needs several people.
What a Gleap agent can do in Webex
- Updates in the team’s room: Create Message posts a short update about a Gleap ticket to a Webex room, such as a new high-priority bug report for the on-call engineers.
- What the team already said: List Messages reads recent messages in a room, so the agent can tell the teammate on the Gleap ticket whether engineering is already on it.
- A room for an urgent issue: Create Room and Create Team Membership set up a room and add the people who need to work on an escalation.
- The right people: List People finds colleagues by email or name, so the agent can add the account owner to the conversation.
Example: an outage report from a large customer
A large customer reports through the Gleap widget that exports fail for all their users. A teammate asks the agent on the Gleap ticket to alert engineering. The agent posts the report’s summary and impact to the engineering room in Webex and reads the room, where an engineer already mentioned a failing export job. It passes that back to the teammate, who decides what to tell the customer.
How to connect Webex
- In Gleap, open AI & Automation, then Agents, and select the custom agent that should use Webex, or click Create agent.
- Under Tools, click Add tool, search for “Webex” and select it.
- Click Connect Webex and approve access in the Webex sign-in window.
- Open the Webex tool and switch off every action the agent should not use, such as Delete Room, Delete Message and the webhook actions.
- Publish the agent and test it in chat before you turn on a trigger.
Custom agents are on the Team, Pro and Enterprise plans. Kai Support can use connected apps as tools on Team, Pro and Enterprise.
FAQ
Does Gleap integrate with Webex?
Yes. Gleap AI agents use Webex through Composio’s Webex toolkit, connected with a Webex sign-in. The agent posts and reads messages when it runs; Webex rooms are not mirrored in Gleap.
What can a Gleap AI agent do in Webex?
It can list, create, update and delete rooms, teams, memberships and messages, look up people and manage webhooks. It works as the signed-in Webex user, so messages appear under that user’s name.
Which Gleap plan includes the Webex integration?
Custom agents that use Webex come with the Team, Pro and Enterprise plans, and Kai Support can use connected apps as tools in its customer conversations on Team, Pro and Enterprise. The signed-in user’s Webex rooms and permissions define the agent’s reach. AI usage is billed separately; see pricing.
Does this toolkit schedule Webex meetings?
No. Composio’s Webex toolkit covers messaging, rooms, teams and webhooks rather than meeting scheduling. For customer calls from a ticket, the Zoom or Google Meet toolkits can create meetings.
