Canny pricing depends on tracked users. The Free plan covers 25 tracked users, Pro starts at $79 a month billed yearly ($99 monthly) for 100 tracked users, and Business is quoted by Canny’s sales team (Canny pricing, checked October 3, 2026). On Pro, the price rises with every tier of tracked users, up to $1,079 a month billed yearly at 5,000.
This guide covers what a tracked user is, the price at each tier, what each plan includes, how overage works and what that means for a growing product. All prices are USD list prices from Canny’s own pages, as of October 2026. If you are comparing feedback tools, the Gleap and Canny comparison and Gleap pricing cover the other side.
Canny plans and prices
| Plan | Billed yearly, per month | Billed monthly | Tracked users | Managers |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $0 | 25 | 5 |
| Pro | From $79 | From $99 | From 100 | 10, plus custom roles |
| Business | Quoted by sales, billed yearly | Not offered | 5,000 and more | Custom |
Every plan includes unlimited posts, boards and admin seats with the Contributor role. Canny says paying yearly saves up to 20%.
What a tracked user is
Canny defines a tracked user as “anyone with a post, vote, or comment attributed to them” (Canny billing plans, updated June 5, 2026). Users found by Autopilot, Canny’s AI, count too.
That makes Canny’s price a measure of engagement, not team size. A product that asks every customer to vote will move up the tiers faster than one that only links the board from its docs.
Pro price by tracked users
Canny Pro per month, billed yearly, by tracked users
| Tracked users | Billed monthly | Billed yearly, per month |
|---|---|---|
| 100 | $99 | $79 |
| 200 | $161 | $129 |
| 300 | $224 | $179 |
| 500 | $349 | $279 |
| 1,000 | $661 | $529 |
| 2,500 | $1,036 | $829 |
| 5,000 | $1,349 | $1,079 |
A year of Pro at 100 tracked users costs $948 billed yearly or $1,188 billed monthly. Above 5,000 tracked users, Canny moves you to Business.
Overage. If you pass your tier, Canny upgrades you to the next one automatically and prorates the charge, unless you set a spend limit. If a product with 400 tracked users gains 300 new voters after a launch, it passes the 500 tier and moves to the 1,000 tier, from $279 to $529 a month billed yearly.
What each plan includes
- Free: feedback and notification integrations (Intercom, Zendesk, Slack, Segment and a Chrome extension), up to 5 owners or managers, no custom domain and no changelog emails.
- Pro: everything in Free plus custom domains, changelog emails, project management integrations (Jira, ClickUp, Linear, Asana and GitHub), MCP connectors and 10 owner or manager seats with custom roles.
- Business: everything in Pro plus SSO, CRM integrations including Salesforce, SOC 2, removal of the “Powered by Canny” branding as an option and payment by invoice.
Autopilot, Canny’s AI
Autopilot is Canny’s AI for collecting and organizing feedback. Canny’s help center says Autopilot credits have not been capped since May 9, 2025, on current Free and Pro plans. The cost shows up elsewhere: every user Autopilot finds counts as a tracked user, so heavy use of Autopilot can move you up the Pro tiers.
Free trial and discounts
Canny offers a 14-day free trial of Pro or Business with no credit card (Canny trials). Yearly billing saves up to 20%, and Canny offers nonprofit discounts and custom plans for consumer products on request.
When Canny is worth the price
Canny fits product teams that want a dedicated feedback board, a public roadmap and changelog in one focused tool, with integrations into the support tool and the issue tracker they already use. The free plan is a good way to test whether customers will vote at all.
It fits less well when feedback volume is high relative to budget, since the price follows engagement, or when you want feedback and support in the same place. With Canny, a support conversation lives in your help desk and the request lives on the board, connected by an integration.
How Canny pricing compares with Gleap
Gleap is AI-native customer support for software teams, and its feature roadmap with voting sits next to the support inbox. As of October 2026, Gleap Free costs $0 with one seat and 50 tickets a month, Team costs $149 a month billed annually ($179 monthly) and Pro $299 ($359 monthly), both with unlimited seats, and Enterprise starts at $999. The public roadmap and feature requests are on Team and up, and Gleap does not price by voters or tracked users. New workspaces get a 7-day free trial, no credit card required.
| Canny | Gleap | |
|---|---|---|
| Price basis | Tracked users | Per workspace, unlimited seats on Team and Pro |
| 1,000 engaged customers, billed yearly | $529 a month on Pro | $149 a month on Team |
| Support inbox | Integrates with your help desk | Included, with live chat, email and messaging channels |
| AI for feedback | Autopilot, uncapped | Kai PM groups feature requests and recommends priorities, billed by usage |
| Free plan | 25 tracked users | 1 seat, 50 tickets a month |
Team and Pro include all of Gleap’s agents: Kai Support answers customers for $0.29 per resolution, Kai Specialist investigates hard tickets, Kai PM groups requests, and Kai Code opens pull requests your team reviews.
The trade-offs are real. Canny is a deeper feedback product, and its free plan includes boards while Gleap’s Free plan does not include the roadmap. Gleap’s advantage is the connection: a feature request arrives in the same conversation as the customer’s question, with the customer’s data attached. Our list of roadmap tools with feature voting compares more options, and Featurebase pricing covers the closest Canny competitor.
