Zendesk pricing starts at $19 per agent per month for Support Team and $55 for Suite Team, billed annually. Suite Professional costs $115 per agent per month, and Suite Enterprise is priced by Zendesk’s sales team (Zendesk pricing, checked September 26, 2026). AI agents are included in every plan with a monthly resolution allowance per agent seat, and resolutions beyond the allowance are billed as you go.
This guide covers what each plan includes, how the AI allowance works, what the add-ons cost and what three example teams pay. All prices are USD list prices from Zendesk’s own pages. If you are weighing a switch, the Gleap and Zendesk comparison and Gleap pricing cover the other side.
Zendesk plans and prices
| Plan | Per agent per month, billed annually | What the plan adds |
|---|---|---|
| Support Team | $19 | Email ticketing, ticket routing, prebuilt analytics, pre-written responses, automations and triggers |
| Suite Team | $55 | AI agents, a knowledge base, messaging and live chat, voice, omnichannel routing and Action Builder |
| Suite Professional | $115 | Admin Copilot, App Builder, writing tools, skills-based routing and an IVR phone tree |
| Suite Enterprise + Copilot | Quoted by sales | Intelligent triage, auto assist, generative AI for voice, approval workflows, a sandbox and custom agent roles |
Each plan includes everything in the plan above it. Zendesk labels annual billing “20% off annual”, so paying month to month costs more per agent. Subscriptions run month to month, annually or over several years.
Suite Growth and Enterprise Plus still appear in Zendesk’s help center, but the public pricing page lists only the four plans above.
Support or Suite
Support Team is a help desk for email tickets. It suits a small team that answers email and does not need chat or phone yet.
Suite plans bundle the channels most support teams add later: messaging and live chat, voice and a public help center. Suite Team costs $36 more per agent per month than Support Team, so price the channels you expect to use during the contract, not only today’s.
How Zendesk charges for AI agents
Zendesk says AI agents are included in every Support and Suite plan, with pricing based on automated resolutions. The mechanics sit in its help center:
- A monthly allowance in dollars. Each agent seat adds a resolution allowance to your account: $2 per seat per month on Support plans and Suite Team, $5 on Suite Professional and $10 on Suite Enterprise, up to $5,000 a year (Managing resolution allowances, accessed September 26, 2026). Unused allowance does not carry over.
- Three resolution tiers. Since May 18, 2026, Zendesk sorts AI outcomes into assisted escalations, contained resolutions and verified resolutions. Its help center says assisted escalations and contained resolutions do not count against the allowance. That leaves verified resolutions, which a language model confirms after the conversation ends, as the billed tier (About automated resolution tiers, accessed September 26, 2026).
- When a conversation ends. An email conversation ends 72 hours after the first email. A messaging conversation ends 2 hours after the last message by default, adjustable up to 72 hours.
- Overage. With “Allow overage”, the default, AI agents keep answering after the allowance runs out and the extra resolutions are billed pay-as-you-go. With “Don’t allow overage”, AI agents pause at the limit.
Zendesk does not publish the price of a resolution on its pricing page or in these help articles; its help center points to Zendesk Sales. Third-party guides quote figures, but they are not Zendesk’s list prices, so ask for a quote in writing before you forecast.
In practice, the allowance is small next to the seat price. Ten agents on Suite Professional add $50 a month of resolution allowance to a $1,150 seat bill.
Zendesk add-ons and usage fees
| Add-on | Price, billed annually | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Copilot | $50 per agent per month | Can be added to Suite Professional and higher plans |
| Workforce Engagement Bundle | $50 per agent per month | Tools for service quality and agent performance |
| Contact Center | $83 per agent per month | Zendesk’s contact center product |
Some features are billed by usage once you pass the plan’s allowance: Zendesk names App Builder, Action Builder and Voice on its pricing page. Plan for phone minutes and numbers separately if you run voice support.
What a Zendesk team pays
These examples use annual list prices from September 26, 2026, before tax, discounts and voice usage.
| Team | Plan and add-ons | Monthly total | AI allowance included |
|---|---|---|---|
| 5 agents, email and chat | Suite Team | $275 (5 × $55) | $10 of resolutions |
| 10 agents, AI-assisted inbox | Suite Professional + Copilot | $1,650 (10 × $165) | $50 of resolutions |
| 25 agents, with quality tools | Suite Professional + Copilot + Workforce Engagement Bundle | $5,375 (25 × $215) | $125 of resolutions |
Two lines grow over time. Seats grow with every hire, including part-time helpers and teammates from product or engineering who need access to tickets. AI resolutions grow with automation: the better the AI agent does, the more verified resolutions you pay for beyond the allowance.
Free trial and discounts
Zendesk offers a 14-day free trial with the features of Suite Professional, and Copilot is included during the trial. There is no free plan on the pricing page. Annual billing saves 20% compared with monthly billing, and other billing options go through Zendesk’s sales team.
When Zendesk is worth the price
Zendesk fits teams that run a large service operation across email, chat and phone, need its voice and contact center products, rely on workforce management and quality tools, or already depend on integrations built for Zendesk. For those teams the per-agent price buys a mature service desk.
It fits less well when many people need occasional access to tickets, when support volume grows faster than the budget, or when most tickets end in a bug report or a product decision that the help desk does not connect to engineering work.
How Zendesk pricing compares with Gleap
Gleap prices the workspace, not the agent. As of September 2026, Gleap Starter costs $49 per month with one seat, Team costs $149 per month with unlimited seats and projects, and Pro costs $299 per month, billed annually ($59, $179 and $359 billed monthly). Kai, Gleap’s AI support agent, is on every plan. AI usage is billed separately through prepaid credits, by the tokens used and the model selected, not per resolution.
| Zendesk | Gleap | |
|---|---|---|
| Price basis | Per agent per month | Per workspace per month, unlimited seats from Team |
| 10 agents, billed annually | $1,150 on Suite Professional, $1,650 with Copilot | $149 on Team, $299 on Pro |
| AI agent billing | Resolution allowance per seat, then pay-as-you-go per resolution | Prepaid credits by tokens and model |
| Free plan | No, 14-day trial | No, 14-day trial with $50 AI credit |
The trade-offs are real. Gleap has no free plan. Starter has one seat and one project, and the knowledge base, in-app bug reporting and the feature roadmap need Team or higher. AI usage comes on top of every plan, so estimate it with your own ticket volume; the pricing page shows average AI costs per task. Zendesk also covers phone support, contact centers and workforce management; Gleap does not.
Where Gleap differs is what happens after the ticket. Bug reports from your app carry a screenshot and technical details, and on Pro, Kai Resolve investigates hard tickets and prepares coding tasks that your engineers review. The Zendesk comparison lists both products side by side, including what Gleap’s Zendesk importer brings over. The Zendesk migration guide walks through the move step by step.
